Southern Cross

A nice bonus of traveling to the tropics is the chance to see Crux, the Southern Cross. Unfortunately at this time of year it is most visible around two-thirty or three am, but worth a look if you happen to be up at that time of night. The cross will be low in the southern sky, and the bright star Spica in Virgo with be more or less overhead. Take a look if you can.

I will tell you that when I saw the Southern Cross for the first time, that song came right into my head. I could hear it clear as day.

Someone has a very patient cat! As I'm not a board regular, I would have missed any previous notice of it. Cute!

but he passed on about 1 1/2 years ago so he's eternally patient!
Some may suggest he died of mortification/embarrassment..
