the post office
Can anyone give me directions to the post office? "Back in the day" I went to the lovely, eccentric old post office but I have never been able to find the new one. I like to send letters and post cards and I know that the hotel will mail them for me but I do love the experience of buying stamps. I am hopelessly stuck in the 20th Century!
Directons to the post office would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The first time we visited Zihua, my wife mailed several cards, none of which arrived.

Here you go, Maggie. Just follow the link and it will take you to a Google Map Street View of the Oficina de Correos (the trees kind of block the view). Just click the "x" in the upper right-hand corner of the image to jump out of Street View into the normal Google Map which will show you the location on a street map.

Mailed post cards to the grandkids in Oct and Nov. They received them. The office is behind Papa Locas.

Congratulations. Stuff I mail to here never arrives.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Rob I couldn't find the post office on the google map. But I will look behind papa locas when I find out where it is!

On the Google map it is behind the mango tree in street view and in the center of the map when you click the "x" in the upper right-hand corner to return to map view. It is right next to the Coppel store.

We did a lot of hunting for the post office - seemed everyone we asked gave different directions.
From Plaza Kyoto, take Paseo del Palamar until it curves left. You will see Carmelitas on your right. The post office is right behind Carmelitas, so you turn at the first turn right and there you are.
We mailed postcards in November and they all arrived. It may take a while.
