When Zihuatanejo Is Not In the News

Unlike you, Fran, my first experience was Zihua (40 years ago) and that was for more than one reason. First...there was no Ixtapa. Second...my Parents were hooked on Zihua already and wanted to share with me. I can not imagine my life if they had not bought me that first plane ticket to paradise.

Would that I had had parents who ever ventured from the great Midwest but we all got to Zihuatanejo whenever. Some sooner, some later and, God willing, some this winter.

And had I gone to PV or some lesser known Caribbean island, we would not have met. All because of a travel agent, Frommer's an Rob's board. Karma, sister.
