Cecil and Karen moved to La Barra 11 yrs ago and were permanent residentss there.

Oh my... I can't hardly believe it! Poor Cecil! Please let me know anything you hear regarding services for Karen.

What a shock..just saw her earlier this month! Is there someway to convey condolences to Cecil?

Thats so bad. she loved the kinder garden,. and this family helps to the village. bery good persons than love Barra... rest in peace.

The Memorial service is TENTATIVE for 4 p.m. Tuesday. Remains will be cremated and ashes spread along Play Blanca.

Hope anyone who has firm dates and times will add to this post.

Will this be at Our House

We stayed with Karen and Cecil for the first time this year. Karen was always ready to go, have fun and try new things. Her life was so full, so many stories to tell. John has a great photo of her that just makes you want to laugh. She was a sparkler and a pip. We wish we had more time with her.

I think so. Hopefully Dick@98346. We are not going as Cecil may be getting overwhelmed. We will go see him hext week when reaitly sets in---

I agree. Karen was one of my favorite clients who always lit up her surroundings with her upbeat effervescence and contagious jocularity. She was also a very concerned and caring person, thinking much about others as evidenced by the attention to the special needs of folks with different capacities that she and Cecil provide at their lodging. I know of no other local lodging that takes such attention with such seriousness.

The memorial service for Karen will not be Tuesday at 4:00. At the moment the plan is Wed. morning at 9:00 but Cecil will confirm this tonight.
