Hey Bobnamy - sorry for my tardy reply; but we've been having too much fun on the beach to check the net.

There is little to no beach in front of the Condesa and you can see an old break wall in front of the Condesa that I have not seen in the 5 previous years that we have been coming here. That's how much beach they have lost. On the up side, the enramadas on the lagoon are doing a lot more business because the now have waterfront.

Just a short walk on the beach north of the Condesa, the beach widens out quite a bit and further on down past the Solecito it's wider than ever. If you're a walker or runner, the beach is actually better cause it's more flattened out.

If you're a deep water swimmer, the current northbound is stronger than I've ever experienced due to the tidal out flows from the lagoon. No problem, cause you can easily swim with the tide to shore. It's actually kinda neat cause you can swim in place like one of those swimming machines.

If you're a fisherman, they're not doing a lot of biting off shore since we have arrived on Dec 31st. That's the normal ebb & flow I suppose. If you're desperate, you can always hire a boat and fish your heart out near Los Moros.

Bottom line the playa is still mucho bonito and very user friendly. The enramadas are all going strong and a good time can be had by all.
