Morning is by far our favorite time of day for Lupita and me. It's a bit like being reborn and seeing everything anew. And here in the tropics the morning is always the coolest part of the daytime and thus it's the best time for walking anywhere. Of course, being downtown dwellers our favorite walk is along the waterfront, from Playa La Madera to the municipal pier. There's never a dull morning for us and we never tire of the natural beauty of this marvelous place we are privileged to call home.

I love waking up just as it is beginning to get light with my coffee cup in hand watching from the balcony at the Grand as "Z" and the bay comes to life on a new day- can't wait . In the evening sitting on the balcony or at El Serpio watching as it starts to get dark and the lights across and along sides of the bay start coming on and then seeing "Z" from the distance all lite up on a new evening- the Grand has one of the best view of "Z" and the bay by being on the side of a hill across from everything. Both early morning and evening has their own beauty and is hard to say which is the best view.

I like how the pink clouds are reflected in the water. Thanks for posting all these lovely pictures, Rob. It's the next best thing to being there, particularly in view of the fact that I won't be getting down there this winter.

It was a beautiful morning just when the first rays of the sun hit the overhead clouds. I was surprised at the color I was able to get since it wasn't quite daylight.
Sorry to hear that you won't be able to come down this year. I hope things work out well for you both in Montana. Does a river still run through it?

We're building our new home in Hamilton, located in the Bitterroot Valley, considered the "Banana Belt" of Montana. It is incredibly beautiful here. The Bitterroot River runs through it. We have almost daily visits from White Tail deer, wild turkeys and quail. My landlady saw a mountain lion behind the house a couple of weeks ago and we can hear coyotes howling at night fairly regularly.

To my eye, the second is more pleasing -and it won't be too awfully much longer until I can enjoy el amanecer along that same place and the several others I frequent as the days begin anew in my favorite place.
