Why Zihuatanejo
After 2 very plesant months, my wife and I have to leave for home today. It is the 3d time we've spent 2 months here and that is significant.
Over the years we have spent one or two months in other places in Mexico, all the Central American countries, Ecuador, Spain, and a few others. There are lots of great places to visit, but this is the only place we've returnd to for a 2d, let alone a 3d, time.
Something about the place I guess.

Why Zihuatanejo
I feel the same way. I have been to prettier places, but Zihuatanejo has pulled at my heartstrings for 33 years!
Why Zihuatanejo
Harriet, have we met? It has been 28 years for me.Hang out at Paccolos when there.
Why Zihuatanejo
I dunno. I tend not to hang out at bars that much. I'll be back March 12 to 25.
Why Zihuatanejo
I asked my friend "out of all the places in Mexico, why Zihuatanejo?". His reply, "go there and see". In a few days it will be somewhere @ my 20th visit. BTW, I have yet to see that same friend there.
Why Zihuatanejo
The people are so special, that did it for me.
Why Zihuatanejo
Over the past 8 years we have travelled extensively in Mexico (hence, my book) and have settled here in Zihua. I have asked many, many people the same question as yours. Our answer, and the answers of those I have interviewed, is the same as what some of the posters here have said: the people. Everywhere in Mexico we have been so impressed with the warmth of the people, but somehow, the folks of Zihua are even more gracious, welcoming, and warm. Aren't we fortunate to have the opportunity to know such wonderful people?

Why Zihuatanejo
You are so right! It IS primarily because of the people. I like Zihua so much that, come late March, I'm heading back there for my 7th visit in only 4 years. And, although I've traveled all over Mexico these past 15 years, I keep coming back to Zihuatanejo. I love it!
