Sunday in Zihua
My last week-end in Zihua is over and what a great time it was! Ended up at the zocalo in the evening to watch the scenery and see what was going to be the event put up this time. It was a gymnastics demonstration and some of these kids were pretty impressive. Of course all was better since I was eating some great food from the food carts and had whatever was on my list I didn't manage to eat last week. The highlit was the tasty chicken tamales with red sauce. As I was strolling around I heard my name and it was one of my friend and she reminded of the concert that was going on at Coconuts and off we went.
The singer playing her guitar is French-Swiss and was singing a lot of Edith Piaf classics which is unusual for someone her age and here. It was a great performance and a good crowd was there. Ended up ordering some food and drinks and had a great time. Bumped into several folks I know and made some new friends there as well.
Off to drop laundry at the laundromat now and then it's time for a brunch and some shopping after. Nice to be able to drop my laundry and pick it up in the evening for about $4, washed and fold. All this under a beautiful sky and nice and warm!
