Keeping Z Peace?

After the floors and walls of our home stopped vibrating around 12:30AM from the Carnaval music from the Cancha Municipal, except for the cacophony of Andy's and other bars on Vicente Guerrero, we enjoyed a very restful and peaceful evening thanks to Juan N. Álvarez street being closed all night so that there were ZERO boombox cars passing by all night long like they usually do.

Lupita and I both hope that at least on weekends Juan N. Álvarez could be closed to vehicular traffic.

The sound system at the Cancha Municipal is about 5 times what is necessary there. Louder than many rock concerts I've been to and made worse by the proximity of so many buildings that simply echo the sounds. Even with doors and windows closed and the TV turned up loud the noise was unbearable and I was concerned about the physical integrity of the buildings including our home due to the vibrations. Apparently the folks responsible for the sound system are totally unaware (or uncaring) how such loud sound harms the hearing and can cause physical damage to buildings. Including the people and animals that live right next door to the Cancha Municipal. Didn't we just celebrate Benito Juárez Day? Something about "El respeto al derecho ajeno es la paz"?

No traffic on the closed street of Juan. N. Álvarez. Apparently it is to remain closed all week. There was even a Tránsito parked in the intersection of Vicente Guerrero and Juan N. Álvarez all day and all night. Hmmmm. Seems like a few signs and some removable barriers would be easier.
