Chilolo's Restaurant
We are returning to Zihua after a four year absence (an obvious case of mental instability) and were wondering about a small family restaurant that we used to patronize near the Navy base called Chilolo's. My spelling may not be accurate, but my memory of their food (and especially the hand made tortillas - the best in the free world, in my opinion) is ingrained. Are they still there or in business elsewhere?
Chilolo's Restaurant
Chuletos? Still around.Best homemade tortillas,Margaritas, next to Casa Vieja.
Chilolo's Restaurant
I think you mean Cafe Chuleto. It is the first restaurant we visit when we travel to Zihua. In January I tried the seared tuna with wasabe, which was fabulous and of course the escargot is a great starter. Love this little place.
Chilolo's Restaurant
We walked by Chalolo's a few nights and the "sandwich" sign was still there but the place was pitch dark...maybe they are still open for breakfast or lunch ?....
Chilolo's Restaurant STILL OPEN

Just a little face lift, but still open and making those hand made tortillas.
Chilolo's Restaurant
The place is definitely called "CHILOLO". It's still there and it's in front of the naval base as you near the parking lot in front of the pier. Go down the street directly in front of the church about 200 meters, on the left. Good people, good food, good prices.
Chilolo's Restaurant
We just ate there a couple weeks ago. Chilolo's (not Chuleto's which is completely different!) is open for breakfast/lunch and if you call ahead will open for dinner. I agree that their tortillas are THE BEST! The food's pretty good too, but I'd be really happy if they'd scrub up their plastic chairs!
Chilolo's Restaurant STILL OPEN
Is thst the same Chilolo that crews Thierry's boat (Carlo Scuba)?

That should be "I'd be really happy if they scrubbed up their plastic chairs."
