Daniel's? I've been out of the loop.

Someone on another board said Daniel of Daniel's passed away recently. Is this true? That would make me very sad. We always have dinner there and say hello to him when he is there.
I've been out of the loop for a while now and just getting back to reading about my beloved Z.

Yes, don Daniel passed on. His frail health took a serious downturn last February after one of his waiters was found guilty and jailed for his involvement in the murder of U.S. citizen Al Rak arranged and paid for by cowardly Canadian citizen Frank Sheppard, who remains a fugitive at large in Canada.

However his children are picking up where he left off and they currently operate the Casa Arcadia restaurant just up the beach towards the museum from Daniel's original location. According to them, Daniel's Restaurant will be opening this fall in October I believe.
