Loving this rain

What a wonderful day. Rain, overcast, and just the right temperature. I could stand more than just a few days of this.

My brain must be going. I thought you were still in Alaska.

Yes, the rain is great except that we need some sunshine to dry things out a bit. Got leaks in this old house, and I just don't trust our pluvial drainage system. Have to keep checking that the canal isn't going to overflow when the rain really starts coming down like it did a few minutes ago. It only takes a few minutes of that to wreak havoc. All over the state bridges have washed out, roads have become impassable, crops have been lost and homes have been destroyed. There are too many heavily damaged places that still haven't even had any repairs since Hurricane Manuel last year. And though allegedly millions and millions have been spent by the local, state and federal governments there is almost nothing of substance to show for it, as usual.
