Pantla?
Every year we drive by the turnoff to Pantla on our way to Zihua but have never driven into town. Taking a drive tomorrow..anyone have a favorite restaurant there?
Pantla?
Pantla does not have too much to offer. I do recommend Mine's in Buenavista that opens up on Thursdays (pozole) and Saturday and Sunday great tacos. But after 6:00 pm.

Anthony is right, no food in Pantla unless you want to pick up some mystery meat at the "Carniceria y Veterinario." Salitrera has some nice little roadside eateries, tho.
Pantla?
I guess it should be mentioned that Pantla is not a tourist town in any sense of the word. Personally, I don't think anyone who doesn't speak pretty good Spanish has any business there. But if you go I recommend leaving the gawdy baubles at home.
Pantla?
We gave up eating there.... might just have been bad luck, but 2 different times husband came away sick from eating while traveling through Pantla

thanks for the info all. no worry on the gaudy baubles...I don't have any.

Although, I would not discourage you from driving by... you will see the real Mexico there. There's a small open air Rest called "El Manguito" it is next to "La Casa del Pueblo" by the "Micros" bus stop; they do have good home made cuisine.
