Z Red Sky This Morning...

At first I thought I was dreaming as I cracked open my eyes this morning and saw one of the most brilliant deep red skies I've ever seen. So I quickly pulled on a shirt, shorts and sandals and grabbed my trusty iPhone, shuffling quickly through the park past an old vagabond sleeping on the bench with all his belongings, just barely making it to the beach as the red glow started to fade to pink. It was all over in less than 5 minutes and I missed capturing the best part with the deepest reds, but what I did catch was still pretty outtasight.

No other colors popped out of the cloudy sunrise afterwards, and if I hadn't seen it I wouldn't have believed anything special at all had happened during the sunrise this morning. But it did!

Another great picture of our favorite place, Rob.

What also caught my eye in your post was your donning shorts, shirt and sandals to go out. I have to start getting ready to take two dogs out to the dog park, where they run and play for about half an hour. It takes me almost that long to get ready to go out in the cold. OK, today it's up to +20. Long undies, sweatshirt, fleece vest, cargo pants to hold treats, poop bags etc. a hoodie, pac boots and a heavy leather jacket. Have to weight the outfit sometime. Good workout just walking around with all that stuff. The dogs, they're fine with just the fur God gave them.

So looking forward to Feb. 19th. when I can just throw on enough to be polite in mixed company.

The photo was taken at 6:46 am. It was at first an incredibly deep red, for which reason I went running outside, but in less than 5 minutes from when I awoke the whole show was over. This was the tail end of it before it went from pink to gray in just a couple of minutes.

Thanks Rob. Hope to catch some of that spectacular color in Feb. - although I realize the sunrise will be at a different time then.
