While the cheapened all-included hotels in Ixtapa may do well by their corporate standards, attracting busloads and cars full of tourists from El Bajío and Mexico City at rock bottom rates that even many of the small Zihuatanejo hotels can't beat, their business model has severely hurt the local community.
