It's a tough life being a fisherman. But somebody's gotta do it! And we're grateful they do!

The view from the pier this morning wasn't half bad.

Until the city can get a new pier built, they're sparing no expense trying to cover up the big hole where it's collapsed. How 'bout this new bridge built using two huge steel beams? Makes the 2 little wooden bridges look sad by comparison. I didn't see any of the fishermen using it this morning. They were however joking that it might get struck by lightning.

That top foto seems like old times; coulda been shot on Ektachrome, and quite a few years ago, to boot -what with only a few buildings visible in the distance.
You do love making us norteños crazy, don't you?
