Troncone Day Trip

I want to take family to Troncones for lunch at a pool setting. We have done Playa Blanco and Barra. It's been quite a few years since I have been to Troncones and want to show them Hwy 200 and another point of view.

We did that last March and got severely hassled by the Troncones taxistas. A group of taxis blocked our driver and us in the middle of the bridge in the middle of town and harassed him for coming up from Zihua and stealing their business. That was untrue since he had been with us all day.
I would advise taxing a Zihua taxi up there and a Troncones taxi back to Zihua.

Cathy- why not use your own car? I don't understand why you would need a taxi? Also, if you haven't been that way for a couple of years, you will notice a big difference in the road work that has been done. The entrance to Troncones has changed quite a bit- don't miss the turn off! It look a lot different now.

Sorry to hear that happened to you........ We had a great trip last year to Troncones......stopped at a couple different beaches, restaurants and we had one place to ourselves with an enormous pool......... Ending our day stopping at the turtle sanctuary and helping dig up and releasing the turtles on the beach at Sunset......... Was one of the best day trips we have had.............every year we go for day trips with Carlos and have never been disappointed......
