aduana Rip-Off?

Coming in a couple of times ago I had a bag that had a finicky zipper. I pushed red even though I had paid for over the amount I could bring in. About $60 USD. Anyway...back to the finicky zipper. When they were going through my bags I mentioned that the small one had a finicky zipper and I could open it for them. They said "NO" that I could not touch anything. I asked the head guy who was standing there if they could be careful with the bag. About that time the girl going through the bags went RRiiippp and the zipper was trashed for sure. It would not even close when we put all the stuff back in it. I then asked the head guy who was going to pay for fixing my bag. He said I needed to talk to Alaska Airlines. I told him Alaska Airlines did not tear up my bag that his person searching did. He just shrugged. I did go to Alaska Airlines even though I knew their answer. When I went back and talked again to the Customs people and all I got was the run around. Since it only cost me about $40 pesos to fix the bag I did not pursue it, but in truth what they did was wrong.

Good luck on getting anything back. The airport officials and the airlines have nothing to do with customs.
