The restaurant at Hotel Las Azucenas just opened a week ago and our group of twelve ate there last Friday, Feb. 20. Most of us ordered sea food, the specialty of the house, and the meals were outstanding; the service was great. There were delays but nothing beyond what you might expect for a second night. Edward, the bilingual chief-in-charge, and his support staff, along with Lao, the hotel manager, was able to provide all of us with the service one would hope to be provided in a quality restaurant and considering it was the second day of its opening. Besides the great food and service, the view from the roof top of the hotel was spectacular, looking out over the bay. Hotel Azucenas is located on the street that comes down from the Delfines statues just before you get to Hotel Villa Mexicana.

How did they get away with a 4-1/2 story building?

I believe they used a Charmin permit

We went there last night. They have only been open a week but they are trying hard, even asking customers for their feedback. Nice setting, clean restrooms. The food was very good. I had Chile relenos stuffed with seafood. Give them a try.
