Had to have stitches last month for a cut on my leg.
Now I'm hoping to find vitamin E oil.
Has anyone seen it available here in Zihuatanejo?

If not, any suggestions on a local aid to ease the scarring would be appreciated.

You may have already considered this, but if you can't find the oil in bottles, breaking open a vitamin E capsule works also. I've done this in a pinch and yes it's messier, but it's usually more economical and the vitamins may be easier to find. Get the highest concentration you can find in capsule form. this works...make sure the vitamin E is d-alpha tocopherol, not tocopheryl, or any other variant

I've found that Mederma gel works much better than simply using vitamin E.

d-alpha tocopherol is likely as good, if not better, and likely less costly. tocopheryls are petroleum by-products.

A Dr also told us to keep it covered from the sun. May not be easy but my granddaughter had a burn on her arm and we kept a sock top on the site all summer and there is absolutely no scar.
