Good Z News!

All kinds of good stuff to report this morning.

First off, the statue of the ladies of La Costa Chica now sits in the zócalo next to the basketball court. They are as beautiful as ever, even though the statue should never have been moved from the plaza at the pier.

Second, Café Marina is still open!!! This is the first time I can recall Joe keeping his excellent restaurant open past Semana Santa. Now if only we had some money to go eat there... But we will soon enough. EVERYTHING on their menu is delicious and prepared to perfection, and their good vibes and ambiance are simply the best.

And the best news I've saved for last. Our dear friend Don Rubén of hamburger fame has thumbed his nose at his estranged and rather cruel family members as well as some ex-employees who have all tried to pass themselves off as him and even sell franchises using his name and recipes. REUBEN'S HAMBURGERS - THE ORIGINAL ONE AND ONLY is now open for business next to the Montessori School on Paseo de Zihuatanejo. I can hardly wait to go there and show him our support and enjoy his fare and his hospitality. The man is lucky to have survived what his horrible estranged, greedy and ungrateful family put him through. PLEASE do not go to their copycat restaurants in Ixtapa or at La Madera. Those people do not deserve your business. ¡FELICIDADES A DON RUBÉN! ¡VIVA EL REUBEN'S ORIGINAL!
