Right here in Guerrero you'll find some of the most impoverished and malnourished folks in the world. They mostly live high in the sierra in regions controlled by organized criminals, completely abandoned and forgotten by their government. Although one candidate made a big whoop de doo the other day when he was travelling to La Montaña region and ran into a roadblock of armed men who allegedly signalled for him to turn back. The candidate for governor said they cocked their weapons at him but another person in the convoy said they did no such thing but that the candidate simply panicked.

The federal government has tried to help our poorest regions, but local politicians and caciques simply take the assistance sent and keep it for their own purposes, which was one of the reasons the current president refused to send any more assistance through state channels after the disaster of the twin hurricanes Manuel/Ingrid.

I'd be more concerned if the headlines claimed that malnutrition in Africa was comparable to Mexico. :omg: :vivamexico:
