Good Pizza OPEN anywhere?
Pizza subject posts are from LAST year. So where is there decent pizza at this point in time. We like thin crust, mud or brick ovens. SImple garlic, cheese, vegetables. Meat not necessary! Seafood, basil maybe?!

Locos sounds like the place. So far though , no ones posted hours at any of the places!! We have to drive in from PLaya Blanca.

Pizzas Locas is only open for dinner. I forget which night they're closed, but their phone number is listed on my Restaurants page.
Also, on my Guide to Restaurants page I have the hours for some of the pizza places. I need to add the new location of Emilio's in downtown Zihuatanejo on the corner of Juan N. Álvarez and 5 de Mayo.

I do not have pizza much but when I do...........it is up from the Bomberos, with a spectacular view of the night lights of Z. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Going to need help with the name of it?.......Like most places I just go there,,,,,,,,I think it is Pizza Vivian?
Go past the Bomberos [going to La Ropa] about two blocks take the street/split left, go about three more blocks and where the road take a steep up slope the Rest. is right there on the left. I think it is called Pizza Vivian.....

Maybe it's called Pizzas Vivas? The place that loads up the cheese on their pizzas? I've had their pizzas and they're good, but all that cheese...
If I can find their contact info and location I'll add them to my list. They've been around for years and have a good reputation. I believe they also deliver within Zihuatanejo.
I still miss the shrimp pizzas from the old Kon Tiki... like an Adventure in Paradise...

How about adding La Majahua too? Wouldn't have found it without Carols help, but having been there once, I know I could find it again. Great pizza and has a nice "neighborhood" restaurant feel to it. In my book it gets extra points for not having a lot of tourists there. (Although I suppose once you llist it that will change.

I did dearly love Kon Tiki. Every time we walk by what remains, I also recall they were the last or about the last building on that side of the road. After that, just the hills. And dark until Sotavento. Huge change.
It's called "Vivan Las Pizzas"
....which I think means "Long Live Pizza!"
We call their pizza "Mexican style", because we've come across it in several places in Mexico, but never NOB. It's all that extra cheese. Now and then we like it as a change from more traditional pizza, but have found that Super Pizza, across the alley from Zorro's, has that same style, is just as good or better, and a more convenient location for us.
When we arrive in late October, we'll have to get directions from Lady M (once again) before we can find Pizza Majahua.

If you are willing to go to Ixtapa, Emilio's is a favorite. Brick oven, thin crust and great salads too.

We enjoy Vado pizza on Calle Adelita in La Madera. Nice people and really good pizza. Hope you get a chance to enjoy yourself.

I'm with Carol on this one, La Mahajua was great. It's an easy enough walk, although I'm not sure I could have found it without her guiding us there the first time. I'm sure taxis could get you there. The pizza was very good. Their burgers looked mighty tasty too, but their pizza is so good I might never try a burger.
