Here comes the rain!

Stay safe everyone. The first real rain of the season has arrived to our coast. There could be some flooding.

Those caught out in this might not get home if they are not close. It was rivers everyplace I drove.

It came down hard and I quick. That's for sure. Came through my wall and floor, which I'm not too happy about. There's no roof on Coconuts storefront at the moment so the rain accumulated in the shop and had no place to drain. Glad the rain stopped when it did. All is clean and fresh now!

Happy you had no damage. It could have been a bad one.

I feel bad for the wedding dress shop next door that is having their roof redone. The shop filled up with water and the workers have spent all morning bailing it out. Don't know why the owners waited so late in the season to redo their roof. They should've done all this work back in April. I don't believe they're locals.

When I describe just how hard it can rain down here.

The splatter on the ground can be so intense, a person cannot see the ground except right around their feet.

I don't like it when the rain drowns birds. Bums me out.

I am putting down-spouts on the new casita and channeling the water to the arroyo.
