Tormenta Tropical "Carlos" - UPDATE
The latest forecast models have Tropical Storm Carlos remaining a little further offshore than originally forecast yesterday, but it may still have wind gusts of around 50 mph and it can still produce torrential downpours that can cause flooding and landslides, so please take precautions.
All schools will be closed tomorrow as a precaution due to the storm.

Tormenta Tropical "Carlos" - UPDATE
After some welcome refreshing overnight rains we awoke to partly cloudy skies this morning that give the impression it's going to be just another beautiful day in paradise. The latest forecast looks like Carlos is remaining just far enough offshore to spare us from the worst of its winds, though at its closest point to Zihuatanejo Saturday or Sunday it's expected to be a Cat 1 hurricane.

Almost Hurricane "Carlos" - UPDATE
The most recent forecast for Tropical Storm Carlos has it tracking just a tiny bit further away from our coast when it makes its northwesterly turn. This is good. Otherwise it is still mostly stationary over warm 29°C ocean waters slightly under hurricane force but slowly gaining strength. I expect it will be officially declared a hurricane any minute now.
