Calm Before Z Hurricane
Zihuatanejo awoke to an unexpected calm after an anxious night. Folks could be forgiven for thinking the danger of Hurricane Carlos is over. But it's still there, and folks further down the coast around Acapulco are getting blasted with torrential rains and gale force winds. Although the storm has weakened a tiny bit from interacting with the Sierra Madre del Sur and is now only expected to be a Cat 1 when it passes by Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa, Barra de Potosí and Troncones, we are still be expecting the winds to begin picking up around noon and for torrential rains later on in the day and likely through the night.
Levertheness, it was a fabulously beautiful morning for strolling with my sweetie down to the pier.
