Carlos on Playa Blanca
It is an overcast Monday morning with very light breeze and calm ocean here on Playa Blanca. According to the national weather service, Carlos as a tropical storm went right over us Sunday evening. The closest hurricane Zoe and I have experienced in the 12 years on the beach. We were buttoned down expecting the worst. It went over with an onshore breeze, nice normal evening rain for an hour and then was gone. The ocean did its normal moving sand around a bit, but no damage reported. The surf has been moving the sand up higher on the beach to where Ian and Cecil cannot open their beach gates. Carlos has moved on and is forecast to become a hurricane again as it moves northwest.
Oh how I love the summers on the beach. You all should try it some time.

Oh, did it rain. It started at 2 in the afternoon and finally ended at 5:45. Nothing appears to be damaged on La Ropa Beach. The forecast appears to be sunny for the upcoming week or more. Let it shine. Let it shine!
