Where can I get a Turkey dinner with all the fixin's?
So finally have a flight reservation for Thanksgiving week!
I gave up on flying from SAN so my wife and I are jumping the border to Tijuana and flying AM with a 6 hour stop in MEX. Were so looking forward! Last time I was there was there we left the day before 9/11. Will be first time for my wife. Would have preferred Alaska Airlines but the return flights were SO expensive.
Is there is a Mexican equivalent to the TSA? Were going all carry on for our week stay. Weight limit is 29 lbs total per person, ouch!

There are several places that offer a complete norte Americana style thanksgiving dinner. Two that come to mind are La Hija de Capitan and Coconut's.

Best Thanksgiving dinner around or even at home is at Deborah's in Ixtapa. She makes everything from scratch, gravy, pie's you name it, well worth going to Ixtapa for. Make sure to make reservations, she books up fast.

I agree about Deborah's about the turkey dinner. We were there a couple of years ago and every table was taken, she was turning customers away if they did not have reservations. That evening places around her only had 1 or 2 customers. The dinner was really good- she said that she had to start cooking days earlier to be able to have everything ready for that 1 special dinner.

Great Thanksgiving meal last year at Casa Marina ala Joeys. Book early.

I thank Deborah's has the longest tradition in Ixtapa. The first time we had Thanksgiving dinner at her place was 2007 when we were celebrating our 10th wedding anv. She told us she had learned that she had to start baking and other projects earlier than that week and by starting earlier it was much easier in having everything ready. For ones not familiar with Ixtapa, Deborah's is not on the main street and is different than Momma Norma's.

Actually the restaurant is Mama Norma and Deborah, same place, 2 names. Look for the purple awning, Deborah's smiling face and the smell of wonderful food.
Think most people know it by Deborah's since she's in charge and always there.
