Some might be interested in a new children's movie apparently filmed in the area. It's written up in the Seattle Times and is one of the stars of our local Children's Film Festival. Tesoros. Apparently filmed in Barra de Potosi.

Maria Navaro, the famed Mexican filmmaker, came to La Barra two years ago to direct the film. We had to skip our stay there that year because her crew took every avaiable room in town!

There were some professional actors but many of the cast were children of Barra de Potosi. According to Dona Laura, Navaro was very kind and gracious with the locals, and it was quite an experience for the children
