Today I was privileged to be in the company of Las Siete Vírgenes, actually a larger group than seven that began as a term of endearment by schoolmates to refer to several local girls including my wife during their teen years. The sense of closeness among friends and acquaintances in our community is truly astounding, as if everyone were family, especially among the older families but also including many long-time residents, and it's one of the things I love most about living here.
