While the world shimmies and shakes around us, it's easy to forget the things that truly matter. While it shames me as a U.S. citizen to see how some folks are treating others in the USA, it fills my wife and me with great pride and joy to see the compassion and kindness of U.S. and Canadian folks here in Zihuatanejo, and it especially humbles us to receive their donations and be entrusted with distributing them to needy people here in Zihuatanejo and the surrounding region. Your kindness, compassion and generosity is a heartwarming testament to the best traits in our species, and on behalf of so many grateful recipients of your generosity Lupita and I thank you most sincerely.

This struggling mom with her 3 lovely children was a bit overwhelmed by your kindness. It took her a while to compose herself for this photo.

This was my bonus prize for dragging my butt down to the beach at daybreak. I hope you like it. As the days get longer I have to get up earlier for these shots of what I call the resplandor del amanecer, a brief period of extreme color as our part of the planet whirls towards the sun.
