How did this observation wind up in the Sailfest thread? I assume you are speaking about Los Gatos, not the Sailfest charity cruises.

I’m truly surprised, Larry, that after all these years you still don’t know the name of the beach you look at all day from Casa Arcadia is Las Gatas. Not Los Gatos. It has to do with its history of being a home for a type of nurse shark that no longer visits our bay.

It's ridiculous! I don't go to Las Gatas as often as I would like because of it.
My Uncle is visiting and uses a cane and instead of getting out of our way, they were yelling for tips. We almost landed backwards in the boat last week. I ALWAYS tip, but can't there be a safer/nicer way of collecting it?

People are still being hassled at the pier for tips...why..I thought this was to be stopped last year.

Our compassionate cruisers have already hosted more than 200 guests on sailing events. Local musicians have donated their talents for musicial sunsets at sea. The sailing events will continue at least thru February 14th. I suspect more events will be added. Sailors are still arriving. About 35 boats in the bay this morning.

Day & Sunset Cruises
400 peso donation

Sunset Cruises – Every Afternoon – 4:15 -7:00pm
Feb. 2nd. Four-hour Day Cruise, 10:30am – 2:30pm (600 peso donation)
Feb. 8th. Rally Round the Rock, morning event, a friendly competition, sailing in and out of the bay.
Feb. 10th. Grand Sail Parade, 9:00am – 2:00pm. The fleet parades around the bay & up to Ixtapa Island.
Feb. 14th. Valentine Sunset Cruise
Three-hour Day Cruise, 10:30 – 1:30, inquire at desk.
One-way Sail to Ixtapa Island, return by bus or taxi, inquire at desk

Sunset Music Cruises
600 peso donation

Feb. 6th. Carlos Urribe, Classical & Latin guitar
Feb. 13th. Roberto & Lional, Mexican guitar and vocals
Feb. 14th. Romantic cruise, Pierre & Grace, Sax & Sexy love songs, wine & cheese

Cruise guests gather at the ZIHUA sign at the pier. Hats, sunscreen & water are encouraged. Food & beverages are welcome. No glass containers please.
