As rob noted deborahs is a wonderful restaurant, you will find many others in the area that just may be more affordable offering a great meal as well. We arrive Friday for the month of march.

Thank you Rob for this information, my friends here in Whitehorse, were correct you are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. So, one more question, when you say they bring food to your home, is that an option, we will be staying at the Porto Vento condos across from the Delfeniti.
It was also suggested that going into Zihuatanejo would be better for food and more economical as Ixtapa is a bit more pricier, in Mexican terms.
I spent 8 winters in the northern Baja so am a Mexican comida guy and my favorite is Chili's Rejeno, who has the best one(food carts typically) and for my wife the molcajete for dinner, is that an option if so where?

Coming to Ixtapa next week and wondering what are the prices for breakfast at this place and the average prices in general for B,L & Dinner? Just curious before we get there.

Thanks

We usually spend about 250 to 300 pesos or so for two for breakfast with coffee, large green juice, all the trimmings and tip.

You can find a restaurant for whatever your budget. Deborah's is quite affordable for our visitors, but for locals it's a treat many can't afford. Normally we eat much more economically. Our main meal of the day, la comida, is what you'd call a late lunch, eaten between 2 and 3PM. We usually prepare our own meals but for days when we don't we often order from La Jaiba Feliz who brings our meal including agua fresca, handmade tortillas and dessert to our downtown home. Living downtown has some nice perks. For two people their comida corrida costs 110 pesos if I recall correctly. If we ate our comida at Deborah's with a couple of beers and dessert we might spend 350 to 400 or so pesos. Again, very reasonable. I can only guess that would be in the ballpark of what you might spend on your dinner.

As I've mentioned before, one of our favorite Sunday morning things to do is enjoy breakfast at Deborah's Restaurant in Ixtapa. But apparently the word got out about their Sunday Eggs Bennies and Mimosas because for the past 2 Sundays we've found ourselves standing in line waiting for a table due to the crowds. Hey, c'mon guys!

On our morning walks we still enjoy the charm of old Zihuatanejo. Thank goodness Juan N. Álvarez Street has changed very little over the years.

Monday mornings are always slim pickings at the Mercado de los Pescadores since many of the fishermen don't work on Sunday night. Still managed to find some good fresh fillets for our lunch.
