(reply) I was just in Patzcuaro and went to the Mercado at 9:30 pm and also the Plaza Chica and they had stands with a huge metal cooktop...they browned up chopped up carne, chorizo and other meats (head meat?? ) and had yummy grilled onions and great salsas...served on small grilled tortillas..they also did quesadillas...
Anything like that at night in Zih? or day?

The attraction of PV for us has always been the taco stands in abundance.
You will love Zihua and find a and find your go to place.
Sort of reminds us of Sayulita and Bucerias. More restaurants than taco stands near the water.

None on La Ropa, but some of the restaurants serve tacos. As for tiendas out here? A couple of little ones, beer, sometimes ice, snackies.

I'm new to this great forum and also will be a Zihua newbie in about a week and and a half. We have visited PV many times and were condo renters in old town. Taco stands are an enjoyable part of the experience for us. I used the search feature with "taco stands" and didn't get any direct hits. Forgive me if I'm asking a re-hashed question. Any recommendations for clean, safe and tasty taco stands? We will be hanging our hat in the La Ropa area, but are eager to do walkabouts around town. Look forward to your recommendation.
Also are there any 'tiendas" in the La Ropa area?
