Simple Life (reply)

We don't think we are dinosaurs, just lovers of simplicity. Computers make our life simpler, so there are two laptops on each of our three floors for convenience.
No TV, no smart phone (no one to communicate with) no cloud use (what for?) nothing we have to be reminded of.

Just living a simple life here, lots of ocean and beach time, lots of reading, cooking, enjoying life.

LOVING IT!!!!

Yes, when that movie came out in '74 we all (mom, boyfriend, girlfriend, neighbor, and boss) decided to hop in the gunmetal blue '66 S-type Jag and drive from Longboat Key over to the waterfront theater by the pier in Tampa to see and hear it in "quad", one of the first movies to use that effect which was all the rage then. I've still got the poster. The poor old car overheated as we were climbing the Sunshine Skyway and we had to stop at the very top to let it cool down, coast to the bottom of the bridge to the island and get some water from the public bathroom then continue our adventure.

It was rather like a concert event.

Here's a poster I bought at the theater that now hangs in my office. You can see all the thumbtack marks in the lower right-hand corner of the poster from the dozens of walls I hung it on as I moved around, all up and down Florida. Lotta good vibes happened in front of this poster.
My favourite version of Dead Flowers is the New Riders of the Purple Sage version.
More of a stoners version.
Sorry for my digrestion.
PS. Thanks Rob for the editing power here. I must have edited this post four times. It's probably still not write.

https://youtu.be/7Tw-z_tERWs

The Subsecretario de Salud Dr. Hugo López-Gatell announced today that although we are entering the most dangerous period of the pandemia in Mexico, our collective efforts are paying off and the curve is flattening out. This is important encouragement for us, and I hope the comerciantes acting stupidly and protesting in Avenida Morelos today will calm down and heed the doctor's advice. We've only got a little ways to go to be able to reopen, invite tourists back and finish the school year for the anxious students. So let's not blow it now.

Our coastal water remains unseasonably cool, still making for quite comfortable weather in spite of the increasing smokiness. We are certainly enjoying our quiet and peaceful evenings. Especially when we spend the evening on our azotea listening to music, dancing and sipping our favorite libations. Remindful of the days before Zihuatanejo's downtown was taken over by loud noisy bars where the young and undereducated kids pretend to be adults and the adults pretend to be kids. The peacefulness is truly the best part of this whole unfortunate matter.

Love our fresh fish!
