More than half of the combi passengers and almost all the combi drivers we've seen are maskless. Not surprised the cases have increased.

Not enough rain. I still had to water my plants this morning.

The bars are the biggest problem. Too many young people being fearless and indestructible i.e. reckless trying to prove what big adults they are, along with a few older folks doing the same thing.

Wow I saw Johnny Nash in a club in NYC back in 73 with my friend Kate a Midtowner. I remember him singing "I shot the sheriff" I was on route back from a long stay in Europe after HS. good flashback, thanks.

As of today Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 1,221 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 84 that resulted in fatalities, 27 that are currently active, and 1,029 that have recovered.

We still haven't seen or heard about any changes by the local or state government for our return to Semáforo Naranja beyond promises to regulate public transport more closely. Not encouraging. Everyone continues operating as they were under Semáforo Amarillo.

Today was another day of warm and humid weather, but no rain. We've had so many days without rain that I'm going to have to water our plants tomorrow. Very strange for September. Has us concerned about what's coming in October.

After so many months of being sheltered in your homes, we are all hoping you will want to come back to LIFE with us here where so many people have been working extremely hard to make sure we can receive visitors and assure they will have a safe visit. Our local problems are NOT your problems, even if we go back to Semáforo Rojo. I don't believe it will have any impact for many of the smaller lodgings, especially those in places like Troncones, Playa Blanca, Barra de Potosí, La Ropa or Puerto Vicente Guerrero. Smaller lodgings and vacation rentals should be relatively unaffected. So please don't cancel for what is going on in the colonias that you will never visit here. Lodging workers ARE responsible people which is why they keep their jobs.
