Appreciate that info Rob. Gracias!

I find this interesting. Normally when I’ve watched cruise ships pull in before, there are some passengers on the verandas or on exterior walkways, and maybe some on top of the ship on an exercise track. However, on the MS World, it’s a complete ghost town. Maybe there are not many “in residence” at the moment. Or they are sleeping in!

I suspect they're all belowdecks awaiting to take the shuttle boats to the pier to get off the ship for a while and enjoy our beautiful town.

Oh, and I was right. The gobernadora went with the mayor to "inaugurate" his ugly new concrete alleyways to the beach at La Ropa. We'll be lucky to have any public lands with actual dirt on them except the Unidad Deportiva after 3 more years of this mayor. He ruined the garden we used to have in front of our home and turned it into a concrete alleyway, too, lit up too bright like a damned carnival all night long.

They're going to "inaugurate" something, so look for the most recent work by the mayor. The artisans' market? I imagine they'll be there shortly after receiving the first passengers disembarking from the ship. No idea what their time schedule will be.

That's our new Gobernadora Evelyn Salgado Pineda arriving. The helicopters land at the Sector Naval behind the Mercado de Artesanía on Calle 5 de Mayo. We're quite used to it landing there, though sometimes it can kick up a lot of dust if they don't water down the landing area first.
