Another great surf report - with videos. How cool is that. Your pics, as always, great. Whether you're in them or watching them, big waves are awesome. You can feel them, you can hear them. Now I really wish I was there. Thanks for another excellent surf report.

Another surf report! Don't miss this one, surfer or not.13-7

Wednesday, July 13th

Good Afternoon from Troncones, MX

"Partly sunny today, little to no breeze and great temperatures. Oh, and did I mention Big Waves!"

So that was yesterday, today, even better. The waves have really cleaned up. Direction is spot on at south/southwest and the size in phenomenal for this region. The sun was trying to make it's appearance and by mid-morning temperatures were touching the high 80's, low 90's. A light breeze cutting across the shore intermittently.

Sets were widely variable in size, from 6 to 8 ft kiddie rides, 7 to 12 ft for the grown ups and let's drop a few 15 to 20 ft bombs on their heads just to be sure they are paying attention. The big sets came in fast and furious with swell after swell topping a minimum of 12ft. Then it would back down a bit, let everyone reset and catch their collective breaths and then back at it again. I think more then a couple of people found their limitations today as takers on the really big waves was minimal.

Lot's of surfers in the waves, not quite as many on them, so plenty of room to pick and choose and move around. Up to 10 in the line up at times but usually closer to 6.

Forecasts still showing a gradual taper towards the weekend, so the rest of the week should stay fun. This is what Troncones surfing is all about. If you don't like the conditions today take a nap, have a magarita and check 'em again!

The sun rose at 07:18 and will set at 20:27. High tide at 12:27 and 0.8m, low tide, 17:50 and 0.5m.

That's the word from Troncones

Turn up the volume and pretend your on the point with us...
