I think more and more people , farmers are fustrated that the government and army cant help as they are being forced to pay narcos when they cant even bring there product to market unless they are allowed as before

But the problem isn't the government, it's the NARCOS and their raison d'être. If popular recreational substances weren't stupidly banned by governments catering to not-very-well-educated voters, the narcos wouldn't exist.

Taking advantage of all the explosions from the Guadalupanos, gunmen opened fire shooting two men and killing one of them in Las Salinas part of downtown Sunday afternoon. Can't pretend these things aren't going on or that it's just like anywhere else. It isn't. As with any local shooting, the police are only good for showing up 45 minutes after the last shot was fired. THAT is part of our local reality.

This Monday night is the BIG night downtown and across Mexico for the Guadalupanos. At midnight all across Mexico the faithful will honor Guadalupe by singing Las Mañanitas to her image. You can watch some of Mexico's most revered musicians and artists render their homage to Guadalupe at the Basílica de Guadalupe live on Mexican TV. You can also watch it on N+ or VIX or look for it on YouTube beginning at 11:00 p.m.

If you see what look like monkeys being hung by the neck in the trees along the waterfront, don't be alarmed. They're just part of the decoraciones navideñas. They're supposed to be elves, but they look more like monkeys to me. Gave me a good laugh when I saw them going up.

We enjoyed another humid and cloudy day along our part of the Costa Grande. Perfect for those of us who live and work here, but probably a bit of a bummer for beachgoers though the water is fairly calm and mostly perfect for swimming, except while a cocodrilo took a swim along Playa El Palmar today scaring a bunch of tourists out of the water. Too funny!
