Just arrived home on Thursday from another wonderful visit to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo....17 days. This makes it 8 years in a row...covid did not stop us.We have always stayed at Las Brisas, never all inclusive.....on the beach from 10:30 to 3:30 daily, then shower and cab to dinner in Ixtapa or Zihua. Our friends keep trying to get us to go to Bucerias, but this is our truely happy place. The local people, the food, the weather....it could not be any better!!Added bonus while having dinner Friday the 8th at La Portena,we spotted Rob and his lovely wife Lupita and had a brief visit.Moving forward ,next year we will be fully retired and looking at much longer visits in some kind of accomodation in La Ropa,or La Madera area with a kitchen. Thanks to Rob and Lupita for managing this message board as i have been following it for all 8 years now.......finally i posted something.....lol.....cheers from Osoyoos BC.....

Muchas gracias for sharing your trip report! Sounds like you have the total relaxation part down. Las Brisas is a fine place to relax and let them pamper you. They have a truly beautiful atmosphere there with their jungled gardens and small cove setting.

I hope you all enjoyed your meal at La Porteña. We're very fond of the place. My wife used to hold the owner in her arms when he was a baby, so we have a bit of history with them, and we think they serve a quality and well-prepared meal. It's also within easy walking distance from our home. We're looking forward to our Cena de Nochebuena there with our family from Mexico City.

¡Saludos y hasta la próxima!
