We are in area 1C, check the CFE map. Everyone in that area pays the same rates.

The first 150 kwh cost 1.005 pesos each

Next 200, 1.227

Next 300,(I'm not sure if that number is correct, we have never gone higher than that) 3.35

These prices are for the two month billing period, and all this information is on your bill.

Yes, 6 months a year there is a large subsidy. Electricity is very cheap if you don't get carried away. We decided we wanted to do the right thing, didn't want to ever have to concern ourselves with using too much, and be able to use the AC in the summer when we want. We went solar last month and are very happy.

There are some great, easy to understand write ups on line about the billing, the areas, the subsidy, and it's worth reading.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. At home I am paying around 3 pesos
For every kW×h. Many people are signing up for a fixed rate.

Depends on where you live (what CFE thinks is a tourist area as opposed to a colonia), and how much you used previously (if you've used what the CFE thinks is excessive, you'll be charged more). We won't get a CFE bill until January, so can't help you with this month.
