I forgot to mention, that if there are whales within a few miles you can hear them when you're snorkeling at Manzanillo - even if you can't see them. If you hear what sounds like faint "Wooo Hooo" or children playing and shrieking in laughter, lift you head out of the water and look around for little kids - if there are none - it's whales. Pretty cool!

I've snorkeled there several times a year for years when we had a boat (got rid of it last year) - love snorkeling there. Lots of underwater things to see, rock structures in deeper water, and tons of fish, turtles and rays.

Every boat ride I've ever taken has charged X# of Pesos per hour, regardless of the number of passengers.

Every boat I've known and worked on charges a set rate for half and full days. Charging by the hour, that's a good one.

Snorkeling at Manzanillo bay

Anyone want to join Elayne and me snorkeling at Manzanilla bay some afternoon this week. Boat holds up to 6 and departs 3pm in front of the Sotanvento. We snorkel for about an hour and get back to La Ropa in time to enjoy the sunset. We’re going with Vincenta and boat costs $150 dollars for 4, $190 dollars for 6.
I know the water is calmer in the morning but we like going in the afternoon.
