Local hotel occupancy rates are slowly going back down as the holiday vacation period comes to an end. There are still lots of tourists around, and restaurants and shops have been doing a good business, but school starts next Monday and parents must get their kids ready to return to classes. The line of cars leaving Zihuatanejo for the Autopista Siglo XXI was quite long today, and it will continue being a long line for days to come.

Our weather remains absolutely picture-postcard-perfect. It's been getting down to 18°C at night, making for some cool refreshing mornings, but also meaning we need to sleep with a blanket on our bed and to turn the ceiling fan off. Still no snow in our forecast.

If you notice more and more water taxis with navigation lights, it's because Lupita and I kept bringing it to the attention of the Capitanía del Puerto and our suggestion found fertile ground, and they say their goal is to get all the water taxis to install and use them. One panga had their navigation lights installed with red on the starboard side and green on the port side. That gave me a good laugh.

I keep looking in the canal and hoping to see the little cocodrilo back in its spot. It really pisses me off that the city government removed it for no other reason than their own damn lie and ignorance.

Casa Tropicana is a nice little hideaway in Troncones located on the street across from the beach within easy walking of the village shops and restaurants.
