What a lovely NORMAL day in Zihuatanejo. All the little angels returned to school, and there are hardly any tourists around compared to last week, so the first part of the day seemed much quieter than it's been for the past 3 weeks or so. How innocent and promising schoolchildren look in their uniforms. I don't remember looking quite so innocent, even when I had to wear a uniform at school. I had long hair either tied back or with a sun-bleached denim bucket hat or in a headband, brass pipe for a belt buckle, stash bag (with my harmonica in it) and a Buck knife on my belt. I don't think they'd even let me on the school grounds today. My how things have changed.

After a breathtaking sunrise, other than the daily picture-postcard perfect weather, the day almost seemed rather... simple. But the downtown beachfront restaurants were doing a good business when we took our evening stroll. Lots of foreigners in town!

Lots of cruisers have appeared in the bay in recent days. I can see several in front of La Ropa and over half a dozen in front of the Principal and La Madera beaches. I wish we had better marine services to receive them with and marked areas with buoys for them to use for mooring. An odd lack of planning and infrastructure by both the Capitanía and the municipal authorities.

El resplandor de la mañana en Zihuatanejo y la Costa Grande de Guerrero es a menudo una obra maestra de la naturaleza. Hoy no decepcionó.
