Try Fruity Keiko store as well…… on the corner walking from centro towards the canal bridge

Thanks. Guess we'll have to wait for the airport. Along Cinco de Mayo today, several shops had similar dolls....most made in Chiapas, not Guatemala, which one vendor probably quite rightly pointed out "are really the same people anyway."
But these dolls were either sewn onto purses or wallets, or in a stitched-together family group of mama, papa and bambino, and with "Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo" logos.

Fruity Keiko had the same groupings, with "Chiapas" logos.

Years ago, we found some tiny, cloth "dolls"....we were told they were called "worry dolls"....at a great gift shop in Mazatlan, (the Bazaar, near the Zona Dorada). They are no more than 2 or 2 1/2 inches long, 5-7 cm. Last time in Mazatlan, that same shop said they no longer carried them. Our grand-daughter has asked us to find more.
We tried the craft shop behind Joe's on the Paseo del Pescador...no luck. Anyone ever seen these little "dolls" locally?
