Cases of dengue are down significantly throughout the state of Guerrero, according to state health officials. Yay!

Apparently almost everyone is somewhere waiting for the Súper Tazón to begin because there isn't hardly a soul on the streets of downtown Zihuatanejo. Amazingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon. Although most Mexicans haven't a clue how the game is played, many still love to watch "American football". One more thing to love about Mexico!

We awoke to a beautiful refreshing morning with some cumulus clouds on the horizon, always a bit odd to see at this time of year. The sea has calmed down and the waves in Zihuatanejo Bay are quite small, though I can still see some smallish swells from the northwest crashing on the rocks at the southern side of the bay's entrance. I hope there were enough waves for the surfing tournament at Playa Linda this weekend. Vacationers are sure getting their money's worth with our continuing perfect weather!
