Saturday we awoke to a completely cloud-covered sky in Zihuatanejo. Very abnormal, especially considering they weren't visible on any weather satellite map. Busloads of tourists arrived anyway, hauling suitcases, small children, large coolers, and heavy coats; and they made their way to the pier to await the hour for the water taxis to begin running to Las Gatas. I almost felt bad for them, but at the end of the day all the folks we saw returning from Las Gatas looked tired and smiling after a relaxing day at the beach, though they didn't get the suntans they were hoping for.

This Saturday evening also saw some fine guitar playing in Plaza del Artista for the weekly art exhibit. Such beautiful music!

Today was the parade of sailboats around the Piedra Solitaria for the Sailfest. Did anyone go?

The extremely talented muralist Rubí Quintana is currently painting the front of our home for Café Caracol who rents a locale from us. We are honored to have our home adorned with her work! ¡Gracias, Rubí!
