Amazingly, in spite of Hurricane Otis, the Abierto Mexicano de Ténis gets underway starting this Monday in Acapulco.

Lupita and I are often greeted during our evening strolls by readers of my website. It's always interesting to meet the folks who put up with my daily ramblings. I'm humbled by your graciousness, and I'm glad to know I don't bore you to death. Tonight another couple who were dining at La Porteña hailed us to let us know they appreciated this website. I'm terrible with people's names, but Lupita and I appreciated very much meeting you and having our photo taken together. You made our evening even more special.

I saw another set of turtle tracks this morning on the downtown beach, but the turtle nesting season seems to be very slow this year. Nothing at like normal.

More groups of tourists who arrived by bus were sitting along the waterfront and at the basketball court this morning with their suitcases having breakfast with what they packed in their luggage and coolers. It looked like about 3 or 4 busloads of tourists scattered about, waiting until the water taxis started going to Playa Las Gatas. Their cold-weather clothing makes me appreciate all that much more our summerlike weather.
