Lump is sold in several stands and stores between the central mercado and the campesino mercado. Ask around for "carbon" if you don't see it. I have not found wood chunks of any kind for smoking, anywhere. Although Soriana did have apple wood chips a week ago, near the entrance (but not back by the grills and accessories).

I'm not familiar with the campesino mercado. Do you mean Los Cocos?

Charcoal

So I finally bought a new grill today. It's already assembled and there are no "extra" parts. I like to use natural lump charcoal instead of briquettes. Soriana didn't have any and I don't belong to Sam's. Any suggestions where I can find some? It's got to be around as many pollo asada grills use it.

TIA

PS. Would like some mesquite chunks too!
