Thank you for the excellent trip report! It's much appreciated.

Yes, 20 minutes out of the airport must surely be a record!

Thanks for the restaurant recommendations. I'll get them added to my Restaurants page.

Trip Report

20 days into our stay and all has been GREAT!!!

We may have set a record with only 20 minutes from exiting the plane to out the front door.

Weather has been wonderful and the sunsets are wonderful red, orange pinkish colors. Nice breeze at night.

Went to La Ropa last week but decided not to enter the water due to the red tide. Same at Playa Palmar the other day. Looks like it has since cleared

Went to Las Brisas for the first time for their sunset Happy Hour. What a view!

Panecitos Don Fer is our new find, what a great panaderia. Parking is easy at their Los Portales location and their pan is great. Went their 3 consecutive mornings and each day the new bread I try is the favorite. Their pan de platano is great.

The combis and motos are still a challenge when driving, but it helps knowing what I call the Mario Cart zones.

Margaritas continues to be our favorite breakfast spot. We have been going there for years and amazing how simple small talk over the years has resulted in hugs and laughter from their regulars. Asadero Julios continues to have the best tacos de carnitas, arranchera y birria. Caneceria La Silleta continues to provide great options.

Los Oaxcos is another somewhat new spot for us which we have visited more often.

Everyone has their opinions and go to places, however, the genuine kindness of los Zankas in providing directions, recommendations and smiles continues to be the draw.

Do yourself a favor and plan your next visit.

20 more days to go!
